Mrs. Lacy was born and raised at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. She loves spending time exploring the outdoors, and in particular finding hidden gems for dispersed camping! The Pacific Northwest has always called to her, so in her early twenties she packed up and moved to Oregon where she attended the University of Oregon, receiving her Masters in Education with a specialization in Middle School Language Arts and Social Studies. Throughout her career, she has taught in a variety of settings including a Magnet school for motivated learners and an International Baccalaureate school in Italy. Her passion lies in connecting with kids on a deeper level and writing curriculum that engages and challenges students to think critically.
